1400 DICUT®

The DICUT hub is our top of the line hub technology. It offers aerodynamic performance thanks to its shape and patented two-in-one spoke holes. Meanwhile, the Ratchet EXP system not only increases reliability but also reduces weight by fusing the Ratchet and threaded ring into a single component.

 

1600 SPLINE®

The 1600 SPLINE models are now assembled with our new 350 road hub, which gives them an update from 18T to 36SL Ratchet. This means more teeth, lower engagement angle and therefore faster
engagement. In addition, the redesigned end caps make the small hub service easier.

 

1800 SPLINE®

On their side, the 1800 SPLINE models will now feature the 370 hubs with the Ratchet LN freehub system. In addition to the legendary sound of DT Swiss rear hubs, the Ratchet also provides the valued reliability of the freehub system. Compared to pawl freehub systems, the Ratchet System offers a larger contact surface when engaged, ensuring reliability. Forces can be evenly distributed over a larger area and lower peak loads are achieved. The result is greater durability, allowing riders to focus on enjoying their ride.

Aside from providing the legendary sound of DT Swiss rear hubs, the ratchet is also responsible for the appreciated reliability of the freehub systems. Compared to pawl freehub systems, the Ratchet System offers superior reliability due to a larger contact surface area at engagement. Forces can be distributed evenly over larger areas and lower peak loads are achieved. The result is higher reliability and a longer lifetime – allowing riders to focus on the essentials.

RELIABILITY

To co sprawia, że piasty Ratchet System są lepsze to fakt, że wszystkie zęby na każdej z zapadek wchodzą jednocześnie za każdym razem. W przypadku piast zapadkowych, powierzchnia kontaktu jest raczej mała. W przypadku systemu zapadkowego, cała powierzchnia czołowa jest zaangażowana, tworząc znacznie mniejsze obciążenia punktowe. Rezultatem jest legendarna niezawodność piast Ratchet System.

SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Internally, Ratchet LN uses the same mechanism as the well-known Ratchet System. The difference in the system lies in the seal placement. To ensure the convertibility of pawl hubs, the seal had to be fixed to the freehub body on Ratchet LN hubs. Hubs with the classic Ratchet System or Ratchet EXP have their sealing on the hub shell.

SLEEVED ALLOY RIMS

Sleeve joint rims use an accurate small aluminum insert which fits in the hollow cavity of the rim and aligns both bended profile ends. Together with height strength structural glue it secures rim joint. A sleeved rim is more effective in production than a welded rim but fulfill same testing requirements and additional weight is minimal compared to high end welded rims. To meet the requirements of the various fields of application DT Swiss developed specific rim profiles for each field of application.

DT CHAMPION SPOKES

Made from a specific steel and with a 2.0 mm diameter, the DT champion is a reliable and durable spoke, enabling every rider to enjoy those freewheeling moments on the trails.

ARC 1100 DISC
The ARC 1100 DICUT DISC wheel completes the Aero road wheel lineup by DT Swiss: it is characterized by the uniformity of the rim inner width and the design, both meticulously aligned to the existing Aero category. The ARC DISC wheel is engineered to provide you with the decisive competitive advantage while pursuing your ambitious goals.

MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION

Engineered in-house and aerodynamically optimized by our aerodynamic partner Swiss Side, the ARC 1100 DICUT DISC is composed of eight equally sized and symmetrically aligned glued carbon pieces, containing high-quality carbon fibers. The woven carbon layup strengthens the material structure while the ultralight foam plate inside supports a high lateral and torsional stiffness.

DISC BRAKE SYSTEM

The DT Swiss disc wheel is explicitly aligned for disc braking systems only. The wider clearance gives the chance to fully exploit the construction of the disc wheel shape and its rim inner width.

WIDE RIM INNER WIDTH (20 MM)

Wider rim inner width combined with the mounting of wider tires are on trend in aero cycling and were specifically pursued in our development of the ARC 1100 DICUT DISC wheel.

TUBELESS CLINCHER

The ARC 1100 DICUT DISC is developed for tubeless tire systems with the intention to improve the riding characteristics such as rolling resistance.
